A word collage composed of excerpts from Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor’s dissenting opinion; coffeeshop conversations; a jacket; political pundit commentary; sworn statements from Shenandoah Valley Juvenile Center; Peter Strzok’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee; and, a presidential assertion.

A reasonable observer would conclude

Race is the subtext

All in the name of a superficial claim of national security

Do you feel safer?

Absolutely not.

But activism has gone mainstream!

I think it’s overwhelming.

It feels like the end of the world.

I need a nap.

OK, all you have to lose is your right to vote.

I really don’t care, do u?

Beaten while handcuffed and locked up for long periods in solitary confinement left nude and shivering in concrete cells.

The Bible tells me to respect my government and I’m going to do that as a veteran, as a mom, and as a Christian.

The devil may care, but I do not.

Am I saying he’s the greatest husband? No. But I’m also not married to him.

He’s just like everybody else.

He’s a boor but he’s my boor.

May I respond?

What are the rules?

Chairman, what are the rules?

Can you share with us the rules you’re making up as you go along?

There is no point of order.

This is outrageous!

Shame on you!

There! Is the disgrace!

This is intolerable harassment!

What is wrong with you?!

Do you need your medication?!

The gentleman controls the time.

I didn’t do anything wrong and EVERYbody knows it! It’s all a made-up fantasy!”

Pled guilty to lying to the FBI,

Pled guilty to lying to federal investigators,

Conspired to defraud the United States,

You read it, you understand it, but you don’t care.

How can you overlook all the evil this man represents in the name of a party he doesn’t respect?

How can you call yourself an American and say, “I’m not going to support the president”?

Who is our foe, us or them?

The precipice we find ourselves on

A discreet and demur silence

A disturbing degree of denialism

We have sick and maniacal things going on in this country

God help us

We’re on this path now and we’re going down it very, very fast.
